In search of Bhrigu patras - Nepal Segment Part 1
We are coming to you with photos and other information on completion of our Pilgrimage to Nepal.
Early morning Wing Commander Shashikant Oak boarded in Goa exp later I, Vivek Chaudhari joined at Jalgaon and our pilgrimage started in real sense. Before leaving on Delhi International Airport lounge with huge statue of old age queen? We were on Tribhuvan Air port Kathmandu by indigo E6031 10.55h
But before that we went for stroll on the nearby streets. There, we bumped in to Nepal India Library. On inquiry found that very vast collection of books on many subjects are supplied though Indian Embassy channel. We got the address and name of high official to be contacted as Abhay Kumar, PCI.
‘Who is your Guru?’ probably because of spoiled image of saffron clad Sadhus etc, Abhay kumarji asked mockingly. What Ms Sanu said in firm yet polite voice, was eye opener for all of us. Our Param Guru is Dr Jayant Athawale. He had established institute called ‘Sanatan Sanstha’. Thought I am Nepali, I was born in Hongkong. Later because of father’s transfers I was brought up in different counties. I was serving in Hong kong. Later I came in contact with Ashram and found myself in mental peace with sadhana. I was told by Paramguru Dr. Athavale to go to Nepal, where her services are required. Thus I am here in Kathmandu. I am accompanying Shashikant Oakji and Vivekji as per instructions by Param Guruji.
Soon on introduction of the topic of Bhrugu Samhita and Naadi Predictions. I handed over Oak sir’s Hindi Book for his perusal. Going through the book he said, ‘Seems very interesting subject’. Looking at the letter by Oak sir, which he had prepared in the meanwhile, requesting his English and Hindi books on Naadi Predictions may be acquired from Delhi based Diamond pocket book publication directly.
Mr. Abhaykumar said, ‘well, it is not completely in my hand, but I will strongly recommend to include publications in next year’s demand list, so that it will be supplied to not only to Nepal based Bharat library but also in all libraries run in each embassy in all countries of the world! It was unexpected assurance! Whether his efforts fetch results or not the time only will tell!
In the meeting gifted shawl and showed manuscripts of Bhrigu Samhita to all present.

The interview ended with, ‘Howcome Naadi Maharishis are better than Nostradamus?’ This question remained unanswered because of time limit! His appeal in Nepali dialect went to each and every corner of Himalayan country side! Without visiting any valley, mountain tops, villages, our message that whosoever is in possession of Bhrugu Pothis, Patras, Tadpatras, Bhurj patras are to contact Kantipura FM radio station proved very purposeful. For some time, we felt who would listen the interview so early in the morning? Will anyone remember to our message? Can it fetch any results? Answer we got on next day when some Astrologers assembled for meeting said, ‘we listened to the interview. But your answer to Nostradamus’s question remained unanswered! Why so?’ We felt that our hunch was unfounded! Those who are concerned will get to know the requirement! It is a divine design!
It means go out. Now see ‘It’ or ‘Et’ in Sanskrit go, Gaman, Ex means out.So Exit means outgo! Take another word, in Sanskrit, ‘Gharma’ means generate heat. This word transformed in to English as ‘Thurmo’, in Arebic language, it became ‘Garam’ – hot! In very short time he rolled out many English words which had as pr him Sanskrit origin! Smilingly Oak Sir said, ‘P.N. Oak happened to be his Uncle!’ He jumped from his seat! And said, ‘what a surprise! Nice to know that you are close relative of Oakji. I have very high Regards for his work on linguistisc research!’
After Redio interview Sanu had planned for a meeting with Dr Gopal Sharan Upadhya, Professor of Philosohy in Trichandra College. We hick hiked from our hotel near Clocktower We waited for Prof. Upadhya. Very lively personality , he said, ‘how can I help you? I think you should visit our national Archive. All manuscripts are microfilmed and stored there with the help of German expertise. If you dont find any material of your requirement then presume that they are not available any where in Nepal.’ |
When I was picked and dropped at the archive, Oak Sir had sorted some catalogues for my reference pertaining to Ayurved and herbal medicine in which I had perticular interest. After getting many snaps, lady took us to the main store where the manuscripts were stored. Many manuscripts were arranged and neatly kept in certain sequence, wrapped in silk cloths and stacked on many layers of shelves. On hearing that we have come from Maharashtra, India in search of Bhrigu Samhita manuscripts, staff lady named Kalpana Paranjuli working in Budhism topics came forward to assist us. She said, ‘my husband, Prof. Punya Prasad Paranjuli senior staff member in Lumbini University and I have great interest in this type of discoveries. We will provide all requied assistance to you or any one who is keen to know more about Nepal’s historical documents and manuscripts. ‘
Prof. Upadhya’s timely help proved of to be immence. We decided to depute Sanu Tapa to undertake the task of getting xeroxes of Bhrigu Samhita from Microfilms. We did not have time. It involved some token payment in Nepali curranency and formalities which she agreed to do on our behalf. ‘ Mean while after out pilgrimge a massive earth quake struck (schale of 7.9 gravity!) Refering that insidence, Nepal Sanu’s emailed message said, ‘ when the life returns to normal she will do the work , assuring that all those whom we met were safe and their houseds and proprery etc is undamaged!’
On last day ie 26th March on our way to Airport, Sanu Thapa took us to Pashupatinath temple. There keping our footwears in one side shop, we bought some rudrksha mala (garland) and some articles for our family and friends. In side temple complex many sub temples are located. After having Darshan of mani deity of Lord Pashupatinath, we marched off to Bagmati river bank side. Very old traditional builidings and wood carvings were high features of this monument. On the way some miracle happened! One sadhu was resting in reclining pose near to Dhuni fireplace where holy ash had collected. We kneelt befor him to get Bhasmam to be applied on to our foreheads. Oak Sir and we two, sat on a green coloured matress. Closing our eyes, I thought of sittign still for a while. But iwas ordered by Oak Sir get him piece of paper, I tore some pages of diary and handed over to him. Wondering what for he wanted them? Soon I realised that I am going to a be a witness to rare sight of an autowriting experience. Opening ball pointpen and touching the tip on to paper he kept silent for a while. Tthe pen statred to rotate creating a round and round till his had started to go to write somthing. Pen kept on moving anf soon message started to flow. The same is shown here.
one lady in shrill voice started shouting. She was talking very loudly and soon became matter of attraction. For long time her voice kept us hounting. Meanwhile I was observing the expression on the face of Oak Sir. He was disturbed because of that noise. I looked at his writing. It too was distracted ... after some gap it started to pickup the flow. The noise might have made some impact on to the message, I thought. Will there be a reference in message? We could understand that from Oak Sir. Meanwhile Sanu was in Dhyan posture. She was so deep in her meditation that noisy lsdy’s shouting did not bother her a bit. When Oak Sir stopped his autowritng, she took some 5-6 minutes to open he eyes. She said, ‘how lucky I am! I could do Sadhana here for the first time! Oak Sir showed writing to us with explaiation. ‘It was for the first time that message has been in Sanskrit’, he said. ‘I did not know who is writing this message till last. When the picture of blessing palm with two flowers followed by a picture of tall Shiva Lingam with four faces carved on the round side. Top of the Shiva Pindi generally supposed to be round in shape! but here it is flat!’.
